What we ask for

Everything the committee needs.

Complete the three sections below and send them to routing-com. Incomplete applications are rejected automatically.

  • *Admin's full name
  • *Admin's e-mail
  • *Admin's phone number
  • *Admin's nickname(s)
  • *How long have you been on IRC
  • *What experience do you have as a Server Admin
  • *Do you have root access
  • *Do you have physical access

Machine owner details

  • *Machine owner's full name
  • *Machine owner's e-mail
  • *Machine owner's contact number

  • *Server hostname (NULL if there isn't one)
  • *Server IP
  • *Server physical location
  • *Server's intended name
  • *Server CPU Type
  • *Server CPU speed
  • *Server amount of RAM
  • *Server OS
  • *Please provide the "uname -a" output of your server
  • *Server connectivity
  • *Can your server act as a hub
  • *Server's current uptime & loads
  • *Reason for last reboot
  • *Ports dedicated to IRCd (min. 6667, 8888)
  • *Current or intended user load
  • *Current file descriptor limit per process
  • *Which name resolver and version do you use?
  • *Maximum local bandwidth (NIC speed, cable speed to switch/router)
  • *Please describe how the physical connection to the network [switched vlan, switched ethernet, hub or other]
  • *URL to network map (if available)
  • *Please provide the full dmesg output
  • *Please provide output of "ps -fax"
  • *What kind of packet filtering (DDOS protection) do you have on this server?
  • *Ping / Traceroute
