What we cover

Our crew is trained to assist with any IRC problem you may encounter. Ask in the channel, keep it public, and someone will pick it up.

Using IRC: from your first connection to client settings, reconnecting, and understanding why something behaves the way it does.

Usernames and registered channels: creating your X username, logging in, recovering access, and managing who can do what in your channel.

Network services: the bouncer fleet, vhosts, help channels and the rest of the GNUWorld toolbox.

Lost an op in your channel? #Help also handles reops in opless channels. State the problem and wait for a reply.

At a glance

Channel rules

They exist so everyone gets helped quickly. Breaking them can get you muted or banned without a warning.

Idling in the channel is not allowed.

Swearing is not allowed.

Keep to the topic. Unusual or off-topic conversations do not belong in #Help.

We do not help with mp3s, warez, cracks, hacking or anything illegal.

Ask your question and wait patiently for an answer. Do not PM the crew without permission.

Do not use bold, underline or colours, and no /ame while in the channel.

Do not paste links in #Help; it will get you banned.

Do not abuse nickname changes while you are in this channel.

We do help with reop in opless channels.

If you do not need help, please stay silent and do not message any of the + or @ users.

Escalation

Two things the channel handles outside the usual setup questions.

#Help also helps with reops in your channel. If you lost an op, state your problem in the channel and wait for an answer from a crew member.
