Excess Flood

For those of you who have lately been having problems with 'Excess Flood', here is the reason.

Lately, we have had some issues with a number of bots connecting and making life havoc for large numbers of users.

While we are working on a more long-term method of preventing this problem, in the meantime, we have lowered the allowed flood rate of the server back to (more sane) levels -- you may perform roughly 30 commands in 3 seconds before being disconnected.

For those of you who are now being 'Excess Flood'ed off, you may want to investigate /AUTOJOIN to join your channels, and client-side throttling in order to slow down the rate at which your client sends commands to the server.
